Good evening. A big mystery of my family is my OFFICER lineage. I first found them in Ayr in 1810, but I know the surname OFFICER is largely seen in Kincardine. I'm curious if anyone is researching OFFICER. Specifically, I'm trying to locate this family: John OFFICER married Sarah GLADMOND (also spelled GLANDMAN, GLADMAN). Probably married around 1810. Location unknown. John was a handloom weaver and pensioner. Their daughter, Margaret, was born in St. Quivox, Ayr in 1810. Another daughter, Agnes, born approx. 1811 also in St. Quivox. I cannot find any information on John and Sarah at all in any records and wonder if they maybe weren't part of the Kincardine Officer's. Has anyone come across this family in their research?
