    3. 19-04-01 Dear list, I have a week's holiday(nearly over!) so while I have a little spare time I thought I would repost some interests. Last year I was sent this from the ANESFHS: Fintray/1884/3 Ann BOYNE married to Francis BOYNE died 20/2/1884 at Upper Mains of Disblair, Fintray aged 90 years; father Alexander LAWSON labourer deceased, mother Elspet nee BRIDGEFORD deceased; cause of death injury and general weakness informant son William Boyne I have checked and found a marriage for Alexander LAWSON and Elspet BRIDGEFORD at Dunottar on 9 Dec 1775. The death certificate has Anne being born in 1794 or thereabouts though I can only find one child with a degree of certainty, John, chr in Dunottor in 1776. Anne then was a VERY late arrival in this marriage. I can find no record of an Anne which fits - from familysearch.org I have to admit - my visits to a FHC are few and far between unfortunately. However, while I don't dispute the information as being from the death certificate I find it difficult to accept as I have a copy of an 1862 wedding certificate for Catherine BOYNE(Ann's daughter) and on it are quite a few signatures including Robert and Elspet LAWSON whom I assumed were Ann's parents. Now there was an Ann LAWSON born to a Robert LAWSON and Elspet CAMERON in 1803 which doesn't agree with the death date I realise, but I had thought this was MY Anne and so maybe the grandparents were put on the death certificate rather than the parents. Does anyone connect to any of these people or have any suggestions for my next step? Anne was married to Francis BOYNE in 1823 so the censuses wouldn't help much with connecting. Kind regards, Cathy Purcell in coastal Queensland, Australia
