Hi Angie, DURRIS is a parish in the county of Kincardine, 5 miles east from Banchory-Ternan and 13 W.S.W. from Aberdeen. The parish is five and a half miles long, abt. 3 and 3/4 broad, and contains abt. 17,000 acres. Bounded on the north by the river Dee, which separates it from the parish of Banchory-Ternan, and from Drumoak in Aberdeenshire, and on the south by the Grampian Mountains. Hope this helps, Janet Strachan West
