    3. Hello Julie, Yes it is still me with a different address. I was emptying my junk folder of over 100 e-mails for 1 day, on my web mail, and in the instant I hit the delete button I spotted your name. I have had trouble recently with my server bouncing mail, the trouble is I don't usually know about it. Try mailing me on Parkneuk1940 address again please There are a group of cottages at Arbuthnott called Parknook, (still there) which is where my 3xgreat grandfather Charles CAIRD lived and died. I have a photograph somewhere from a cousin. Julie, could you remind me of your Guthrie line? So glad my Guthries were long lived and made it into the statutory records. I recently downloaded an 1855 for my Jean GUTHRIE born 1772 - 28 Jul 1855 Jean Low, age 72 born at Brownmuir in this parish, nearly all her life in this parish, father James, wright, dec, mother Jane, ms Milne, dec, husband Robert LOW, crofter, West Cairnbeg, children 1 Ann 39, 2 James 37, 3 Jean 35, 4 Christian 33, 5 Robert Dec at 22 in 1844, died at West Cairnbeg, buried Fordoun churchyard as certified by Robert Nicoll, Sexton, informant Robert Low, his mark, husband, witness James Mitchel, witness, James Sheret. (So much information spread over 2 pages a genealogists dream) also downloaded death cert for her sister Helen GUTHRIE born 1771 - Death cert. Helen age 87 1/2, Widow of blacksmith, died 15 Jul 1858 at Boghall, Father James, house carpenter and farmer, mother Jean ms Milne, infirmities of old age, buried Fettercairn, Churchyard as certified by David Croll, wright, informant Charles Peat son. (Helen's husband was Robert PEAT son Charles daughter Helen, both living together on 1881 census unmarried) This registrar loved putting ages plus the 1/2 I just loved the 871/2 years. Their other sister Rachel married a James BRAND. Rachel died 1814. thanks to listers for MI lookups. While I am here I have another LOW connection. On the 20th day of June 1857 at Upper Toucks, Dunnottar, marriage after banns was solemnized between us according to the forms of the Established Church, signed John Caird age 21, address Glithna, Agricultural labourer, bachelor, father Charles Caird, mason, Arbuthnott, mother Jean Watson, signed Hellen Low age 22, address Upper Toucks, house servant, spinster, father David Low, labourer, mother Jane Ewing, Upper Toucks, signed Alex Silver, Minister of Dunnottar, witnesses James Wallace and James Glegg. (Interesting as I also have a GILBERT/GLEGG connection at Middle Toucks, could be my James GLEGG born 1824 at Toucks) Julie hope there is something here of interest, and look forward to hearing from you. Funny, in all the years of researching the Guthrie line I have never bumped into a descendent from any of my Guthrie lines.
