Well done Grant. What was the year James Mather died please? Jim Murray
Hi Grant Greetings from Sydney, Australia. I have an ancestor David Smith who died at Luthermuir in Marykirk on 15 August 1853 (from Army Pension record). He also fought at the siege of Badajoz, having joined the Royal Horse Artillery Drivers in 1804. I suspect that his death too would be mentioned in a Montrose newspaper. Are these newspapers available for researching or do you have to go to Montrose? Alternately, can anyone do a look up?
