Jamie, This certainly will be of no help to you [I'm SORRY] but maybe along the way you will be able to shed some light on my brick wall. Do you have any dates for your Longmuir's? I have an Anne Longmuir (g.grandmother) who was born out of wedlock 07 April 1853 to James Longmuir and Jean Milne at Durris. There were at least two James Longmuir's of acceptable age in Durris at the time Anne was conceived and I have no way of finding which is her father. Any help would be so exciting as I've tried to pinpoint this to no avail. Anne married William Forbes and they came to Louisiana USA in 1886 with three of their children, the fourth being born the day after their arrival. She died before I was old enough to remember her but I have fond memories of William Forbes, my g.grandfather. Much good luck in your search, Helen Miller ----- Original Message ----- From: Jreggie53@aol.com To: SCT-KINCARDINE-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, April 18, 2006 4:35 AM Subject: [SCT-KINCARDINE] SURNAME INTERESTS, LONGMUIR, ABERNETHY, SMITH Hello, I am new to the list and am hoping one of the members may be searching one of the following families located mostly in Fetteresso & Dunnottar; LONGMUIR, the families of James LONGMUIR and Christian BEATTIE and their children.
