Hi Jacqueline, sorry, don't know of any family back that far only from 1809 onwards, in Fordoun, but, we did have Catherine running through the family, another thing, is the Adam/Adams, my Grandmother was Isabella Donald Strachan, married a Thomas Aitchison, 1900 in Laurencekirk, came to Australia in 1927 with husband and children, now in 1945 she had a post card of " The Clatterin Brig " and it was sent to her from a Janet Adam, nee Falconer, never found out what the connection was. Have you been in contact with Ken Coull, he has a web page with Donald's from that area. Ruth Edwards

Hi Ruth Does the name Janet DONALD mean anything to you. She was born Dec 1790, at Nigg, Kincardine, married James STEWART April 4 1812, died 1865. She was the daughter of William DONALD and Isabel BOOTH. Also, can you tell me Ken Coull's website address.
