Hello Jane I don't know if the following is of any use to you. I looked up the info at the Scottish Genealogy Society in Edinburgh. John May and Mary Scott married on 30 June 1762 in St Cyrus. John May fathered the following children (it does not mention the mother!) He lived at Stone of Morphie (various spellings of this, i.e. Stone o'morphy) which I think may be a farm in St Cyrus Helen May christened 22 May 1763 Mary May christened 10 March 1765 John May christened 5 October 1766 Isobel May christened 26 February 1770 Robert May christened 12 January 1772 David May christened 12 November 1774 Katherine May christened 24 December 1775 All born in the parish of St Cyrus I found a marriage of a Margaret May to Thomas Balfour on 5 June 1790 in St Cyrus. I don't know if that is the same one. Best wishes Nancy Douglas ----- Original Message ----- From: Jane Bain <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, June 04, 2001 11:13 PM Subject: Helen May St Cyrus > Looking for info please on Helen May, b abt 1763 in St Cyrus.
