School, Aberdeen. Where are your Massons from - my husband's lot were from Portlethen, Banchory Devenick who later went to Aberdeen. I, myself, have a James Ewen in my father's side. All I know about him is that he was a farm servant at Little Forgue, Forgue, in October 1870 and at Neither Wheidlemont (sic) Auchindoir, in February 1884. On my mother's side, I have a Christian Henderson b. abt. 1833 in Lonmay, m. Ferguson Rennie 22 Oct 1859 in Cruden, and d. Woodside, Aberdeen abt. 1908. Do we have any connections? 3. Hi Frances, I have Massons on two branches who may be connected to each other, but so far have not found the link. I have William Masson who married Ann Leiper, April 16, 1837 in Banchory Devenick. They had three children that I have found. William, Margaret Leys and John, all born in Banchory Devenick. Margaret Leys Masson married James Bridgeford. I have a Christian Masson who married Thomas Christie in Birse, Aberdeenshire. I do not know where she was born. Their children were born in Echt, Banchory Ternan amd Maryculter. Re Ewen, I have Margaret Ewen who married Thomas Christie, the grandson of the above Thomas Christie. They seem to have been from the Echt, Aberdeenshire area. There are 5 James Ewens who appear to be connected to her, and are either from Echt, Cluny or Forfar. I have a Thomas Henderson who married Barbara Aberdein. He was from Crimmond, with family born in St. Nicholas. Thomas 's father was Ann Mason. Hope you find something that will help us both.
