Hi Mary & List, May I recommend to everyone, who hasn't done so already, to check out John Burness's home page. He has done a one name study on the name BURNESS (from whom Robbie Burns was descended) which originated in Kincardine. He has a database containing over 15,000 names and I doubt there is a Kincardinshire name missing. I know for a fact Mary that the names LYON,PAUL & THOMSON are included in the database.
