Hi folks I am just wondering if there is anyone on this list who is researching the family of DAVID NICOL in Glensaugh, Fordoun. David (c1789) was married to JEAN WATTIE, his father also DAVID was married to (1) ANN TAYLOR and (2) MARGARET SCOTT. This family crosses paths with the SHERRET family, also in the area. ROBERT, son of DAVID NICOL and ANN TAYLOR, born 1829 Fordoun married HELEN SHERRAT dau of JAMES SHERRAT and MARY PEAT. HELEN was born 15 June 1835. On the subject of the SHERRAT family in the Fordoun area, I am also trying to find the parentage of ALEXANDER GORDON, spouse of MARY SHERRAT married Fordoun 1814. The 1851 census gives ALEXANDER's place of birth as Glenmuick c1784. MARY was possibly the dau of JAMES SHERRAT and ANN CLARK. Sharon
