Hello Robin and Margaret, I am researching HERD in Kincardineshire, but am not as far back as you are. My first with proof is Alexander wife Mary CARR/KERR from Son Davids' death Cert. David was born 1794 in St Cyrus. David's other siblings.Elizabeth, Ann, Mary, Robert all born St Cyrus. I have more on David and Roberts linesof descent. Happy to share information. Kind regards, Kathleen. Looks like a different family .. Ours are in Oathlaw Angus by 1750's Robin -- Robin and Margaret McEwen-King Lanark Scotland
Thanks for reply Margaret. Oathlaw is barely 15 miles from Kincardine so you never know. Also One George HERD gravitated to Logie Pert and then died in Kirriemuir.
