Hi Bill, This looks very interesting indeed as alot of the given names are are in our Webster tree, especially John Low and Agnes Jolly. My Great Grandmother was Agnes Low who ma rried Henry Webster on Dec 15, 1843. We have not been able to find any Parish Record. They had the following children in Scotland; Jessie Webster1845 John Webster1847 Henry Low Webster 1848 (his California death certificate records him as being born in Edzell, also his passport and ships manifest) The family immigrated to Ireland about 1851 where the following children were born; James Low Webster1851 (my Grandfather ) Margaret Webster1852 - 1862 Alexander Low Webster 1853- 1936 Died in Greystown, New Zealand Agnes Webster1855- 1861 David Arthur Webster1858-1905 George Low Webster1859-1942 Ebenezer E. Webster1861- 1954 My mother was the eldest daughter of James Low who married Kathleen Mary Barnett in South Africa in 1890. An infant son Malcolm died in 1892 and my mother was born in Kimberley in 1893---------her name May Agnes Webster. We have suspected Agnes Low was the twin daughter of John Low and Janet Jolly of Meiketullo, a farm north of Edzell, however, we have not been able to prove that theory. They were married in Edzell Parish July 22, 1815 and had the following children; James 1815 David 1817 Agnes 1818 Margaret 1818 Elizabeth (Betty) 1825 Alexander 1826 None of the above have been proven as far as I know but I have cousins in Ireland and England who may have done so. However, as far as I am cocerned, I would like to see some proof of marriaage which would substantiate Agnes father and mother names. The naming pattern s are so very interesting however, many of the above names are so common. Also, there are alot of Lows in that part of Scotland, mainly around Montrose. I am in touch with an extensive family of Lows from that area if you happen to want to contact them. Both the boys live here in Canada but have both been back to Scotland and have very good records, including a connection to Jollys. But we have not been able to tie the Lows and Jollys to ours, at least not to this point. Anyway, see if you can see any connection to your Lows as I would love to hear from you again.
