My gt. gt. grandfather was born in Cotbank/Coatbank, in Glenbervie,Kincardineshire, in 1760, his name was John Ker.I have ordered old maps of the area,but still can't find where Cotbank/Coatbank is. Hi Margaret, Probably a different place altogether, but there is a Cotbank in Kincardineshire, in Banchory Devenick / Blairs.
