Hello fellow researchers, I wonder if someone can tell me if there is an on line site for the Laurencekirk newspaper for 1900, or if there is anyone able to look for an announcement of a wedding . My Grandparents were married there in 1900, we have no photo's or even marriage certificate as yet, of their wedding, they were Isabella Donald Strachan, and Thomas Aitchison, they were married on the 20th July 1900, the wedding invitations were very elaborate, my Great Grandfather Robert Strachan was a tailor at 7 High Street Laurencekirk. Thought this might be of help to all the Milne researchers out there. I hope he may turn out to be my own, as I have later Milne at West Cairnbeg, but too far back at present. From Charles A. Mollyson MDCCCXC111 book on Fordoun. Short extract. David MILNE, popularly called @Cairnie@ was teneant of West Cairnbeg on the land sof Arbuthnott. The same farm is now occupied by Mr Alexander Johnston, his grand-nephew, and the nephew of Dr Johnston, of Kair, he being a son of the late Mr William Johnston the doctor's brother................
