Hi Ken, This happened to me early last year with a Hotmail account and I had to delete everything from it and closed it for a year. I was able to reinstate it again, but with no contacts, or any of my saved emails. I searched the internet on what to do, and this was the only thing I could find. I started another email with this provider I use now. I got some ugly replies from folk, but I must have got the virus from one of them in the first place, as it was something attached to email addresses. I hope this helps.
