Ive found Martins death certificate on Scotland's People which shows that he died 6 April 1866 at Uisken, aged 74 and the death was notified by Duncan Campbell (nephew) not present, which could also contribute for the age discrepancy. Shows married to Christina Beaton, so am sure its the right one and parents listed as Archibald Campbell and Margaret McGilvray. Ian, i didnt know about the rounding of ages in 1841. Jan, i have a photo of Martin Campbell, and he certainly looked like he had a hard life!
