Hi I am researching my family and I believe my Great aunt Bella lived in Rose cottage, Salen. Certainly when we visited in 1957/8 when I was about 9 years old I think that was the name of the cottge. The sea lapped at the bottom of the garden and we collected milk in jugs from the churns. Bella's sister, Elizabeth - Bessie - was my mother's mother. The surname was Lowe.
