Hello Ian Thanks for that.It's just what I thought, but when I looked further I think this family emigrated to Ontario, Canada where John died in 1857. My Niel was in Glasgow in 1858 age 31 where he married Julian Mcdonald age 30 and gave his parents as John & Christina McInnes. (both alive) I eventually found Niel in the OPR's which show John & Christina (Christy) had 3 children 1. Peggy (margaret) b. 1822 in Frackadale 2. John b.1824 in Cragaig 3. Niel b.1826 in Cragaig, I think this Niel may be my g.g.grandfather. Just wish I could find him between 1826 & 1858 to be sure! This is a great list by the way, thanks for your help. Pauline
