Hi Ida - I marvel at your interest and diligence! You and Ian are exceptional resources; I wish other sites had such as you. Yes, I'm hoping for some breakthrough such as Don's & family's ages plus names, through censeses (Mull, Renfrew, or Ontario). I know that his grandparents were Duncan and Mary McGillivray (probably not Fiona's Uisken couple), his father was Duncan II, and both he, his parents and brothers Malcolm and Duncan III were likely born on the Ross of Mull. Don's kids (sex?) were b. abt 1876 and 1879, most likely in Mull or Greenock. Have searched various census and marriage records but nothing yet. Have no idea where he/they died, so if your obits look likely I'd be delighted. Either I'm a really poor researcher or my ancestors were masters of hiding from the enumerators! I'm so grateful to you, Ian and Mull listers for helping to get me this far in my searches. - Karen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Merle & Ida King" <m_iking@telusplanet.net> To: <sct-isleofmull@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, February 10, 2007 12:29 PM Subject: Re: [SCT-ISLEOFMULL] Mull McGillivrays in Ontario Hi Karen > > I know we've chatted previously regarding your McG's on Mull. > > I'm wondering if you'd supply more details of this Donald you mention > here.
