Irene: Just a special thanks to you for posting this project. Because of this posting, I have been able to track 3xgreat-grandma out of Scotland and into Tasmania. The clincher was the Tasmanian Archives index of all convicts. I knew she had been convicted (received several inches of paper from West Register House), but hadn't been able to trace her past Dundee, and was looking at many days in front of numerous films. Now to just wait the six weeks Tasmania says before I see her files. :( Just goes to prove--READ EVERYTHING. This is not one of my Mull lines, but the posting helped me in another line. BTW, those looking for McLeans, McKinnons, McLeods (to keep this on topic), there are numerous females listed in the convict indexes. Oh, and in case you're wondering, am descended from her 9 yr. old son who was left behind. Am wondering if husband followed her out since I can't find him either unless he married again. Thanks again. E. Cunningham (off to convince someone to make a bonnet!)
