I had a look at the OPRs and found Duncan Lamont's birth on 9/2/1837 (Torosay & Kinlochspelvie) & Ann's birth on 19/2/1841 (Kilfinichen & Kilvickeon) but nothing for Daniel. Could you tell me how I can go about getting death certificates from Canada - is there an online service like Scotlandspeople that has BDM & census records? There are Carmichael descendants of this family living in New Zealand who I know will be very interested in this. Two of Mary's siblings came to NZ - her sister Margaret Carmichel who married Charles Stuart (Stewart), and her brother, Alexander's widow, Mary Macdougall came here in 1863 with 7 of their 10 children after Alexander's death (restrictions on how many children you could bring I believe). In the IGI I found the following children for Duncan Carmichael & Ann Stewart: Most of these appear as a submitted record by Dugald Cameron I'm thinking one of the girls probably married a Cameron. Have you found anything in regards to that?
