Thanks Ian The Duncan McColl in your reply could possibly be the one,but without further proof it's hard to say for sure. If my Duncan died on Mull it follows that his wife would be mentioned on the tombstone,but then who knows,maybe it wasn't common practise. Anyway thanks for checking,I'll enter the info as a possible in my FTM. Frances and I are just heading out for a drive up North in the countryside to see the Fall colours with our son John and his wife,..beautiful day outside,..the weathers been brilliant here most of the summer,but not enough rain for the farmers unfortunately. I have found that quite frequently on Mull wives were buried with their birth families, i.e. their own parents, rather than their husbands. Jill
