    3. Hi All, I'll try again. Forward option does not work on list. The government-sponsored Bounty Scheme brought about 5,200 Scots emigrants, drawn mainly from destitute areas in the Highlands and Islands, to Australia between 1837 and 1840. There were 20 Bounty Ships. At least three of these, the "Brilliant", "British King" & "George Fyfe", which all sailed from Tobermory to Sydney, carried passengers from Tiree or Coll. Wayne Cameron, Anne Maye & Melda Brunette have identified the Tiree and Coll emigrants in the passenger lists and transcribed a number of documents relating to the voyages, including an official letter from the British Secretary of State for the Colonies to the Governor of New South Wales, a newspaper report on the departure of the"Brilliant" from Tobermory, a detailed account of the voyage of the "British King", and letters of appreciation from passengers after the ships arrived safely in Sydney. The passenger lists and other documents are all there on the Emigrant Ships page of the Isle of Tiree Genealogy website at www.keithdash.net - just click on the ship's name and follow the links. My thanks to Wayne, Anne & Melda for their painstaking research and their generosity in giving us all access to it. _________________ Keith Dash Sydney, Australia Ian
