Hi Jo, It was good to see Ian giving you a bit of help with your McColls. Sorry I know nothing about them, but do know a bit about the Fletchers. Have a good time in Mull. One bit of advice, ask the locals questions, they know quite a lot! I was interested in your suggestion that Donald Fletcher's parents should be Neil & Chirsty and not John and Catherine. I presume you got that from the Mull website. Unfortunately there is an inaccuracy there in that there are two Donald Fletchers 1800/4-1884 listed and both married to MacPhails. The one with wife Marion [Sarah] MCPHAIL is correct. I can prove it as I have Donald's death certificate which lists John FLETCHER and Catherine MCFARLANE as his parents. The one with wife Sarah MCPHAIL must be wrong. Both entries list the same children but they are definitely the children of Marion [Sarah]. The youngest one, Donald born 1859 is my great grandfather.
