Auchnasaul was in Quinish in Mull and part of Maclean of Coll's estate. It can be found on the map of Mull included in Thomson's Atlas of Scotland published c.1821. A reproduction of that map forms the end papers of Jo Currie's "Mull, the Island and its People". Auchnasaul is also be found as "Achnasaul" in William Roy's Military Survey of Scotland of 1747 -1755, a digitised copy of which is accessible at http:geo.nls.uk/roy. Donald Maclean.
