Hi Keith, Found this on 'Scotlands People' Born 21/07/1833 Achronish Janet, daughter of Duncan Campbell, shoemaker, and Mary MacPherson. You say Hugh was born in Achronich and Janet's mother could be the MacPherson conection. Ida has found the family on Ulva which again could link with the 1841 census entry. Good luck!
