If anyone is interested in John McCormick, born around 1880 in Kilfinichen, I came across him in the 1901 census working as a gardener at Roseneath Castle along with my great uncle, Donald McPherson from Bunessan. Roseneath Castle, which I think has now been demolished, belonged to the Duke of Argyll at the time. Stuart McColl
