Hi All, I have just updated the MullGenealogy website. The database now contains 45,923 records and includes the final OPR entries. I would love to say that this was the number of unique individuals but unfortunately there are a fair number of duplications. During the coming months I plan to reduce the number of duplications in an effort to build larger family trees. I have added the OPR entries under the 'Surname Index' tab as a number of these entries linked to existing family records. The family records also contain details added from census records in order to build up as comprehensive a record as possible. Hopefully you will be able to add other detail. This indicates that no one source of information is comprehensive but merging sources will hopefully complete a family. Hopefully I have brought the correct records together as a family but with the same names reoccurring so frequently there is a chance that I have, for example, linked up a child with the wrong parents. No doubt at some point, someone will identify where this has occurred and the records can be corrected. Again, many thanks to those of you who have added to and corrected entries. Without these it will not be possible to build a complete and accurate picture, so please keep them coming. I think that my traveling for this year might now be complete but you never know. I have still to spend a Christmas and New Year on Mull. Not sure when my next trip to Mull will be but have a feeling that it will be before my next firm booking for September. Still have plans to tag a trip to the Outer Islands on to a trip to Mull. I also keep threatening to attend an annual meeting of the Mull Historical and Archaeological Society. All the best and keep the updates coming. Ian webmaster : www.mullgenealogy.co.uk Skype name : mullgenealogy
