Ancestory.co.uk have a Georgina Vass in the 1841 census aged 3mths at Kenloch parish of Iona. Strange though as she appears to be the only person in the house. Difficult to work out how this is. I however do have her in the family of Hector and Catherine MacLean. I think that Georgina Vass is Georgina Ross because Kenloch (Kinloch) is very close to Kilfinichen. I have double checked the William Ross / Rebecca MacLean marriage. Regret to say 'my' data is incorrect. They did not marry on 1/7/1841 but a William Ross did marry a Jean Livingston of Ardfenaig on that date. Just adds to the confusion as the baptism OPR for Georgina states 'William Ross, parish of Laggie, Ross-shire......' and the William Ross marriage states 'native of Ross-shire'. >> I have gone into the Vass family at great length and have never found a Georgina anywhere. Well I have ;-) . I think the only way to resolve this is to go back to the original 1841 census. Perhaps so kind soul might have access to a copy.
