It says that the info comes from the 1841 census although I can't find them there. However, Georgina VASS, aged three months is on the 1841 census in a McLean household. She is also shown on the Mull site as the daughter of William and Jane Vass. I have a suggestion. Could ROSS have been mistaken for VASS? Scotlands People do this a lot as they look very similar in the old writing. I have gone into the Vass family at great length and have never found a Georgina anywhere. I think she is the Georgina ROSS previously mentioned. What do you think? Here are a few for next time:- . JOHN BEATON born 1862 (married to Ann McDonald (1) and Justina McCormick (2)) died 12/11/1944 Aberfoyle, Perthshire JUSTINA McCORMICK b 1874 (daughter of Lachlan McCormick bapt 03/08/1832 and Eliza McDonald married 07/12/1899 John Beaton, Tormore JOHN BEATON and FLORA McQUARRIE (parents of above John Beaton) married 25/11/1859 Glasgow (This makes it extremely unlikely that he was born in 1844 as shown on the Mull site (he would have got married at 15 years old) - possibly attached to the wrong family)
