    1. [SCT-ISLEOFMULL] Headstone of Jane LAMONT in Casterton, VIc, AUS
    2. Michelle Giza-Vink
    3. Hi List Over the Xmas/New Year holidays, while spending some much treasured time with my rellies in the Mt Gambier area, I also called in on some of my deceased rellies on the South Australian/Victorian border. Many of them were descendants of Allan LAMONT & Jean/Jane MACLAINE of Oskamull, a topic that has been discussed often on this list in the past. I took photos of their headstones in the Penola, Apsley, and Casterton (New) cemeteries, and of most interest to this list is the headstone of Jane LAMONT, nee MACLAINE at Casterton. If anyone would like me to email this photo, or those of any LAMONT descendants in the above named cemeteries, please ask. Jane LAMONT's headstone erroneously states she was born in 'Argyleshire', when she was actually born in Edinburgh. It is not yet known when she came to live on Mull, but she certainly married Allan (in 1836) and bore most of their children there. I am still working on compiling a report on the descendants of Allan & Jean/Jane LAMONT, so I hope some of you don't think I have forgotten. Michelle Giza-Vink in Sydney
