From the 1841 census Penalbanach /Penmollach Fletcher Lachan 55 Farmer Penalbanach /Penmollach Fletcher Isabel 50 Penalbanach /Penmollach Campbell Anne 20 Penalbanach /Penmollach Campbell Neil 3 Penalbanach /Penmollach Rankin Hector 11 Penalbanach /Penmollach McKinnon John 5 A couple of things to add, Ida King asked back in July of last year who the husband of Anne (nee Fletcher) was. I haven't found a marriage certificate yet but on Anne's death certificate (7 Jan 1893, Calgary, Kilninian & Kilmore) her husband was named as Neil Campbell and described as a labourer. Their son Neil was born around 1839 and I presume the husband had already died. John McKinnon was another of Lachlan Fletcher and Isabel McColl's grandchildren through their second daughter. Marion /Sally /Sarah Fletcher christened 19 May 1814. Marion / Sally/Sarah married Duncan MacKinnon, they lived in Breast, Tobermory parish 1841 census. Lachlan Fletcher born c 1789 Torosay: Marriage on 8 Feb 1809 gives his residence at time of marriage as Auchadashinaig (Achadashenag). Spouse Isabella McColl was living at Corkamull her parents were Neil McColl & Catherine Campbell. I do not know who the parents of Lachlan Fletcher are but I noticed on the Mull Genealogy website a Neil Fletcher who was married to Christina MacDougall. They are buried in a Pennygowan plot alongside several relatives of mine. I think Neil's son Lachlan Fletcher may be the same Lachlan as my GGG grandfather. Neil and Christina are in plot 96, plot 95 has Jessie Ronaldson and husband John Goldie. Jessie is the daughter of Catherine Fletcher (Lachlan's daughter). James Ronaldson and Catherine Fletcher are in plot 94. I had Lachlan down as born c. 1789 in Torosay. (from index of Pennygown burials in the reference section of your website) Other Fletchers are found in plots 81-84 and 88. I think those in plot 82 & 83 are related too. Any thoughts would be welcome! I have also come up against a problem regarding the birth certificate for Lachlan Ronaldson, son of James Ronaldson & Catherine Fletcher. I downloaded one from the Scotland' s People Website which gives the correct parents etc and D.O.B. 6 Nov 1865, this is in agreement with the familysearch. org records. My father has just found what appears to be an original birth certificate for Lachlan - written on some kind of cloth and signed by the registrar Duncan Campbell but this gives the D.O.B. as 6 Nov 1867 and seems to be fairly clear. Is there a way of cross-referencing to find out which entry is correct? Both appear to be official documents. Are there existing birth certificates /parish records around this time kept on Mull that could be compared? I have both copies on e-mail. Many thanks, Joanne Savile

My Ggrandmother's brother, JOHN MCDOUGALL was married to ISABELLA MCKINNON, daughter of Duncan & Marion McKinnon.
