Our Ian keep forgetting to warn everyone about the roads and how one should manuver about the island. That in itself is quite an interesting situation. Most of the highways are two lanes with narrow shoulders.. BUT when your traveling the highways sooner or later you'll end up in one lane traffic with a narrow pullout on the side of the road. These are marked with white poles and black stripes at the top. If you see one of these pullouts on your side of the road and traffic is coming at you .. Pull over and let the traffic pass :-[ Although the island looks quite small it really does takes time to get from one place to another on the island. If at all possible extend your stay on Mull. The sight of Duart Castle will bring a tear to your eye both coming and going.
