Elizabeth Kidd dau of Charles Kidd, and widow of John Bishop of Barbados (Debretts Illustrated Peerage p778) dau and only child of Charles Kidd (The Clan Gillean p471) Fitzroy remarried in 1843 Frances Watkins dau of Rev Henry Watkins, and widow of Henry Campbell (The Maclean Baronetcies of Morvaren and Dowart (chart) p60) but Gentleman's Magazine Vol X Jul-Dec 1838, p507 gives her as dau of Late Henry Watkins of Conisbrough, widow of Henry Campion esq of Malling Deanery, Sussex, & from same vol, p544 Marriages: "Sep 15, At Malling, Sussex, Gen. Sir FG Maclean, of Maclean, Bart, to Frances, widow of Henry Campion esq. of Malling Deanery" Debrett's gives Elizabeth's death in 1832 but I have not been able to confirm from any other source. So, did she die in 1832 and the above 1846 entry just a co-incidence or were Fitzroy and Elizabeth divorced and she also later remarried? jay
