Further to Ian update I have found another Branch to my McKinnon's. I am researching Neil MacKinnon born around 1800 in Kilninian Parish married to Anne Colqhoun 30/5/1821 in Torosay Neil died 23/9/1871 in Morvern , the family moved there between 1844 and 1851 census. On his death Certificate it states his Parents as John MacKinnon and Helen MacPhail , who married 2/2/1792. It list them having 1 son Alexander born abt 1798 dying in 1862 in Ardtun. Hi David If this is the same Alexander McKinnon who m's Margaret McKinnon you'll find them in 1841 Ardtun, 1851 Ardtun Eorabus, and 1861 Ardtun KLF as well.
