Good morning folks, Any idea where my Lachlan McNeil who married Mary McLean on 15 Oct 1822 fits in? Record simply reads, "Oct 15th, 1822. Lachlan McNeil (sic), Cailloch & Mary McLean, Inievay, were married." Their first two daugthers Janet (29 July 1823) and Flory (18 Aug 1825) were baptised in the Parish of Kilninian and Kilmore. According to census their children Neil, Mary and Catherine were also born on Mull. The family seems to have relocated to Hough, Tiree between 1834 and 1836, but I have no idea why. I think she is a sister to my Catherine and I notice there is a marriage of a Marion McNeil, Calliach to an Allan McPhaiden 18 Mar 1817 maybe this marriage is for your Marion as the children don't seem to connect with names of mine.
