Thanks Les Great find. The MCQUARRIE family in Moidart was that of Charles, eldest son of Charles MACQUARIE (brother of the NSW Governor Lt Col Lachlan Macquarie) and Marianne WILLISON. Charles Jr and his wife Margaret CAMPBELL had 12 children. The first 3, Isabella Hunter MACQUARIE b 07/09/1839, Marion or Maryann Willison MACQUARIE b 24/09/1842, and Charles MACQUARIE b 19/09/1844 were born in Sydney, New South Wales. This would have been the mispelling as South Kyles in that 1851 Census entry. The next 7 children were born in Moidart, although Elizabeth was born 25/10/1846 in Moidart but baptised in Torosay 05/02/1847. The 11th child Lachlan MACQUARIE was born in Tobermory in 1860, and the 12th Margaret Jarvis Maclaine MACQUARIE was born in Glasgow in 1863.
