My family left Mull/ Ulva for PEI circa 1844. I have been told that passenger lists do not exist prior to 1855 since at the time Scotland and Canada were considered parts of Britain. Hope I said that correctly. Attn John Cameron - Your e-mail of May 10 indicated an interest in McGilivrays. My McGillivray ancestors originated on the Ross of Mull, then Donald (1804, son of Duncan and Mary), wf Catherine McArthur and his son Hugh (b 1843) immigrated about 1852 to near Paisley ONT. Don's nephew Donald (b Mull to Duncan II), wf & 2 kids im. abt 1890 from Greenock to Toronto. Is there a chance our families connect? I have more on older Don, but nothing else about the younger Don. - Karen >> Mary, >> >> Thank you for checking in your new book.
