Hi Jan I checked for an Angus McLean in Manitowaning and the only one listed is a merchant son of a John and Ann McLean. Angus was born in Crawford in Grey Co and married Janet Clarke.He also appears to have a brother Donald who married Sarah McKechnie. I cannot say that this is the same Angus, son of John who verified his death, but it's a place to start. I'll let Ida take it from here as she is the Grey expert.
