Jean identified the approximate location of Cugmony ok. It is not shown on maps after 1880 as by then it was a ruin. However it was located about 1/2 km north of Derrynacullen on the southern bank of the Culadoir River (GB Grid Ref NM 565 294). [It should be noted that although it appears in the Kilfinichen & Kilvickeon Census, along with Strath, Derrynacullen and Torbreck, it was/is actually in Torosay Parish. It was quite common to annexe remote parts of Parishes to an adjacent Parish where it was easier to Enumerate] Regards Les

    3. Thanks Les That clarifies the Torosay link I had. Thanks to all for help with this location. As well as MacDougall family at this address there is a James CAMPBELL aged 2. Out of interest - the translator for ancestry.co.uk 1841 census has it as Cregymonyshoill Oh dear! Tricia
