Linda, what do you mean by LTC, is that Lieutenant? He did end up in the 86th as a Colonel but he could have started his career in any number of regiments. He would have been in the 86th at the same time as my GGGrandfather, did he get a commission through Governor Macquarie? Macquarie, when promoted, was assigned to the Perthshire Regiment, 73rd and NSW. I have the a copy of the Mull Officers and men, if you want a copy, let me know.
