There was no school in Craignure - it was in the nearby village of Lochdon and still is. Chrissie MacLachlan taught there from at least 1928 until she retired. My uncle attended that school from the age of 5 in 1928 and even as an adult was terrified of her as were all the children. I expect you can google Lochdon primary school and at least find up-to-date info and possible archive material by contacting them. It was certainly one of the schools built in Mull after the Education act in the 1870s and opened around 1880.
