Although the databases of Mullgenealogy and Mullfamilies are considerable, many names are still waiting to be 'discovered'. Due to people dying, and families moving/emigrating, there are hundreds of unknowns that never made it to any Census returns. Thanks to the members of Mullfamilies, I have purchased the vast majority of the GROS OPR & SR Indexes of baptisms/births, which list thousands of names. The SR short list below is but a fraction of those names that I cannot link to existing known families. All these are of Kilninian parish, but I have many more from Kilninian and also the other Mull parishes. It is hoped that researchers of these surnames might be able to identify some, and pursue others. The results can be posted here for both camps, but I would be most grateful to receive any BDMs off list. I simply cannot afford to buy them all. There's no point in listing hundreds of names at present, until I see if there's a good response to this short list. Wonderful ..... Did you find a Mccannell or cannell ... there is a Glen Cannel , so there must have been some people by that name . My research has not reveled what I was looking for.
