A little heads-up regarding the following Census entry from Mullgenealogy. This is NOT a transcription error, but at present a mystery as to why John's wife is given as Sarah. (John's age is also understated) 1901 Kilninian & Kilmore District No : 7 Page No : 2 House No : 6 Locality : Shepherds House 19013112 McDonald John 40 Head Shepherd Argyll Kilninian and Kilmore McDonald Sarah 43 Wife Shepherd's wife Argyll Kilninian and Kilmore McDonald John 7 Son Scholar Argyll Kilninian and Kilmore McDonald Maggie 5 Dau Argyll Kilninian and Kilmore McDonald Annie 5 Dau Argyll Kilninian and Kilmore McDonald Neil 5 Son Argyll Kilninian and Kilmore I've checked the original image, and as clear as day, John's wife is Sarah. However, to save any researcher possible hours of heartache (and no doubt headache), the ACTUAL wife's name should be Catherine, as in Catherine McCallum. The three youngest children all aged 5 are triplets !! Exactly seven days later, McLean twins would be born in the same parish. A touch ironic methinks :) Michael www.mullfamilies.co.uk

Well. At least they got it correct in 1911. Just shows yet again how unreliable census and other records are.
