John McColl and Mary Campbell had children before this John...in fact they had a Duncan born Morvern 1834..the family went to East Kilbride.I have had trouble at times with duplicate couples..don't remember who they were now.. John McColl the father was a Ferryman between Mull and Ardnadrochet ????..he died in Dumbarton Scotland 1869...although he did live in East Kilbride for a time.I'm sure they worked on the Reid Farm there that is now the Museum of Scottish Life.It gets very confusing at times.
