This is my first posting to the list. My most distant Mull ancestors were Lachlan McLean b c 1745, married Ann McLeod b c 1746. They were probably married about 1766. As the OPR's don't begin until 1766 it may have been earlier, and they may have had other children. Their children were; Christian bap 7 June 1767 in Sorn Donald bap 10 dec 1769 in Mingary Margaret bap 13 Dec 1772 in Mingary These baptisms took place in the Parish of Kilninian. Margaret Mclean married Charles Morrison (son of Hector Morrison and Florence Morrison) abt 1794 Their children were; Anna b 1795, Isobell b 1798, Lachlane b 1800, Mary b 1801, Hector b 1803, Hugh b 1803, Niel b 1806, John b 1808, Allan b 1810, Rodrick b 1810, Magnus b 1812. The children were all born at Ballachroy. Their baptisms took place in the Parish of Kilninian. Isobell Morrison of Ballachroy, married William Stewart of Baligown on 26 Jan 1823. Their children were Mary b 4 Jan 1824, Hector b 21 Feb 1825, Isabel b 9 July 1826, Ann b 31 July 1828, John b 1831, Charles b 1833, Margaret (Peggy)b 1835, Catherine b 1837, Magnus b 1840. I have the 1841 and 1851 Census records for these families. Ann Stewart married Alexander Cameron (born Glengarry, Scotland)on 27th March 1862 at "Lake View" Hamilton, Victoria, Australia.
