Hi Michelle, Ida & List As a matter of confirmation the above errant Hector is on the 1841 England Census at Northumberland Court Lodging House, St. martin-in-the-Fields Parish, Westminster as HECTOR MACQUARIE, 40, ARMY, S(b. Scotland) in what appear to be largely military lodgings. Indexed on Ancestry as MacGuaire which I naively thought was Gaelic till I read the actual entry.
