Ida et al. Jemima Masterson does indeed appear to be Jemima MacCormick b. 1 May 1862 to Catherine MacCormick. Her marriage certificate (16 Apr 1914 UFC Manse Iona) shows her as Jemima Masterson age 50 domestic servant spinster daughter of James Masterson, Hewer[?] deceased and Catherine MacCormick, domestic servant. Her husband is shown as Alexander MacCallum, age 53, laundryman, bachelor, son of Donald MacCallum, shepherd and Catherine MacCallum m.s. MacArthur, both deceased. Her death certificate (10 July 1942 Oban) shows her as Jemima McCallum married to Alexander McCallum labourer retired. Her parents are shown as James Masterson, deceased, and Catriona Masterson, m.s. MacCormick, deceased. She died of arteriosclerosis and septicemia. I believe that Catriona Masterson is inaccurate and should have been Catherine MacCormick. Perhaps her husband (the informant) was unaware that she was illegitimate? Or perhaps looking at her sister's death record, there was a little sanitizing of the truth... As for Mary Fisher... She appears to be Jemima's sister b. Mary MacCormick 22 Jul 1866 to Catherine MacCormick. Her death certificate (between 30th and 31st October 1955 5 Burnbank Ter. Oban) shows her as Mary Fisher single age 88. Her parents are shown John Fisher, deceased, and Catriona Fisher, m.s. MacCormick, deceased. She died of natural causes. Again, my belief is that Catriona Fisher is inaccurate and should be Catherine MacCormick. Hope this helps. I haven't tracked down the death of their sister Flora yet.
