Just a short note to add that Sarah (or Morag, really with her name often translated as Marion as well as Sarah)Buchanan (1783-1877) of Oban and Achnacroish after her marriage to Peter MacFarlane lived on Mull in Achnacroish, Torosay. She came to be a Baptist prior to emigration to Cape Breton in 1820, perhaps about 1810. She and Buchanan and perhaps MaColl relatives established a small Baptist Church in West Bay, Inverness Co. Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The congregation did not survive but the descendants continued to have a close affection for the Baptist Church in Nova Scotia even though they attended the Presbyterian Church - one of Sarah Buchanan and Peter MacFarlane's daughter's daughter married a Baptist minister Rev. Wallace MacWalker.
